Portland’s Travis Outlaw turns the tables on Memphis’ Rudy Gay

 byOly Sandor
Simply put, Memphis Grizzly Rudy Gay is known for dunking on folks. Since entering the league, the high-flying Gay has victimized both perimeter players and stocky posts with his aerial antics. Of course, the same can be said for Portland Trail Blazer Travis Outlaw. The versatile swing is no stranger to the youtube crowd, who have become quite familiar with Outlaw’s highlight reel jams (...).

Odd couple: Why Elton Brand and Philadelphia 76ers will stay an awkward match

 byOly Sandor
The 76ers are track stars. Unlike the Phoenix Suns, they’re young track stars. Iguodala, even with his improved range, feasts off the open-court. Same for Rodney Carney, Willie Green, and Thaddeus Young. They all love to run. Brand isn’t a track star. Never will be, either. The veteran has made his living off getting the ball on the block and putting in work. And, to be fair, it has paid (...).

Allen Iverson needs another epiphany in Memphis

 byOly Sandor
I wonder if Iverson remembers that moment or season. Sure, the tiny combo guard treated coach Larry Brown’s offense like an all you can shoot smorgasbord. And sure, the 76ers succeeded -with Iverson, of course, being the featured player ....

Will the All-Star Game Have a Prostitute Problem?

 byChristopher Sells
The NBA's All-Star Weekend isn't until February, so it's not yet on the radar of the general public. But if you aren't aware, the events for Friday and Saturday will take place at the Mavericks' American Airlines Center and the All-Star Game itself will take place in Cowboys Stadium, more affectionately known as "Jerryworld." The NBA will likely release the All-Star ballots later this month, (...).

Chris Paul versus Rajon Rondo feud

 byJohn Nguyen
I regard Rajon Rondo as “flirting” to be in the top 5 of NBA point guards. He’s not in there yet. Rondo is merely flirting with that. I know you basketball diehard fans were watching that game where Chris Paul got into it with the leprechaun. Of course, this started over typical trash talk something to the extent of Rondo saying to Paul about him having a championship ring while his (...).

  Blake Griffin’s future

 byJohn Nguyen
In order to hypothesize at a future, we'll have to examine the past and present. Other writers have been clowning on the Los Angeles Clippers organization for decades. I’m guilty as charged, but that’s because I’ve been following the organization since 1993. Over here in California, Clipper games used to air on KCOP-13 complete with annoying musical introductions. Every game (...).

Report: Sasha Vujacic Dating Maria Sharapova

Lamar Odom's sort-of-marriage to Khloé Kardashian may have been all the news in Los Angeles over the past few weeks, but it turns out that they're not the only high-profile lovebirds associated with the Lakers. If a pair of tweets are to be taken as credible evidence, bench-riding bomber Sasha Vujacic is dating Maria Sharapova, the former world-number-one tennis player. First, the Twitter (...).

Revisited: Is Rajon Rondo a top 5 NBA point guard?

 byJohn Nguyen
Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics has inked a deal for 5 years making him about $55 million richer. Congratulations Rondo. He earned it. Many people, outside of Boston, are questioning whether Rondo’s play is worth this much. The general tone from basketball junkies is that the Celtics overpaid and locked him up for too many years. Rondo fans theorize that if he waited until the (...).

  Me, Myself and Iverson

 byChristopher Sells
Allen Iverson only has one game under his belt so far this season, but he's already causing problems by complaining about his role as a sub. Sadly, this his new beginning in Memphis may be the beginning of the end of his illustrious career..

Shannon Brown dunks on Laker teammate Josh Powell

 byOly Sandor
Two nights ago, he hit us with another one. Los Angeles Lakers guard Shannon Brown took his highlight reel jams to another level when he 'posterized' Josh Powell in a recent game verses the Dallas Mavericks. Of course, Powell also dons the purple-and-gold of the Lakers. Even teammates can't avoid Brown’s aerial antics, so the back-up center became an unintentional victim - or collateral (...).

More Problems for the Chicago Bulls

 byJohn Nguyen
Tyrus Thomas, who is sometimes heralded as the next Shawn Kemp (hopefully without the over abundance of kids), was handling out Morton’s Salt. When it rains, it pours. Kemp was usually raining down dunks in Seattle during the 1990s. Tyrus was found throughout the 2009 preseason pouring salt in the papers. What was he salty about? He was bitter about not being the starter in an (...).
