Hasheem Thabeet on Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph in Memphis: “Everybody will get theirs”

 byOly Sandor
The second pick in the 2009 NBA draft notched a brilliant goal against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC development squad in the eight-aside soccer match, represented the Memphis Grizzlies with class, and easily manoeuvred through reporter’s questions on new teammates Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph ....

Video: Steve Nash’s latest Vitamin Water ad, featuring 50 Cent and the Antoine Walker ’shoulder-shimmy’

 byOly Sandor
Two things stand out when watching this clip. First, the two-time MVP is rather convincing as an Anthony Robbins self-help guru. And second, towards the end of the clip, Nash, whether intentional or not, pays homage to former All-Star Antoine Walker with a little ‘Toine inspired shoulder-shimmy ....

  The Re-Return of T-Mac. Allegedly.

 byChristopher Sells
McGrady is the latest superstar to claim that he'll return to form after missing significant time due to injury. This isn't the first time he has made such a claim, so forgive Rocket fans' skepticism..

Washington Wizards must tell Gilbert Arenas to grow up

 byOly Sandor
Today, that’s what Gilbert Arenas did -publicly blaming the Washington Wizards for his injury woes and claiming the team’s medical staff were partially responsible for him missing so many games over the last two seasons. And, just to rub salt in that giant wound he created, Arenas claimed the team should have ignored his pleas to play and kept him on injured reserve. ‘The Hibachi’ also (...).

Why Bryon Russell STILL hasn’t had enough of Michael Jordan

 byOly Sandor
This is all publicity. Russell, who has been scheming on a comeback for years, is trying to leverage the situation into a tryout. For instance, instead of wearing a suit or even a golf shirt for a nationally televised interview, Russell specifically sported a cut-off ‘tee’ because he likely wanted to give the impression he’s in shape (...).

Dennis Rodman – 1st ballot Hall of Famer?

 byJohn Nguyen
The Worm has a place in the Hall waiting for him. It’s there. It’s obviously there. Since former Chicago Bulls have already gone in such as Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan, and most likely, Scottie Pippen in 2010. Will Dennis Rodman join Pippen next year with Malone and Pippen? Rodman doesn’t get mentioned much among these names. Perhaps it was the numerous hair (...).

Robert Sarver and Phoenix Suns could learn from Earl Clark’s five-year plan

 byOly Sandor
Still, there’s no need to knock Clark’s confidence; at least the lottery pick has a five-year plan. Can the same be said for his employers, the Phoenix Suns? Other than the always dependable Grant Hill and Steve Nash, this once proud organization is riddled with uncertainty and dysfunction. Since buying the team, Robert Sarver has made quite an impression on the NBA landscape -and most of (...).

  NBA 2K10 Draft Combine review

 byJohn Nguyen
When this was first announced, it was a way to get that NBA fix in months before the actual season starts. Who would want to pass up on getting the first taste on a brand new 2K basketball game? Not many. Remember that this is just a sample of the game. It’s not a true indicator of the fleshed out version that will be released on October 6, 2009. There are tweaks and bugs that 2K needs (...).

  Bryon Russell Hasn’t Had Enough

What’s wrong with MJ’s HOF speech?

 byJohn Nguyen
Before Michael Jordan’s official induction into the Hall of Fame, ESPN Classic and NBA TV were replaying his best games and moments. They are great stuff to have on TiVO, DVD, and hopefully, Blu-Ray someday - the ultimate Superman and his heroic feats on display as record and visual facts. The moments also make for great entertainment. On the court, he’s great. How would we know (...).

Michael Jordan’s induction speech: Hall of Fame or Hall of Shame?

 byOly Sandor
Some feel Michael Jordan’s gift, his competitive streak, got the better of him during Friday’s Hall of Fame induction speech and cursed what was meant to be a celebration of his accomplishments and legacy. After a moving video retrospective and then getting introduced as ‘The Greatest Player of All-Time’, the critics claim ‘His Airness’ inappropriately used the forum to settle old (...).
