The P305-A has a large 3-foot overhang (pole to backboard distance) for player safety. We recommend our optional pole pad, model BBPB, for increased player safety. The heavy 5-inch high-strength steel pole offers outstanding goal system stability, and has a powder coat finish for long life under heavy use. This goal system has the same 72" x 42" clear acrylic backboard found on our top-of-the-line P306-A, and is the standard size goal found in most high schools and colleges.
