Big Sky suspends Sacramento State coach 02.11.2005

Jenkins will miss Saturday night’s game at Idaho State, reprimanded for "comments he made regarding officials as well as failure to control his players and staff" during a 57-55 setback to the Wildcats.
Weber State guard Coric Riggs stole the ball from Sacramento State’s Jason Harris with 2.5 seconds remaining and scored on a last-second layup to end the game.
That sparked a protest from Jenkins and the Hornets bench, who thought the game-winning shot came after the buzzer.
Because the Dee Events Center Jumbo-Tron does not have the capability of showing replays, referees Sam Gibson, Chris Rastatter and Gregg Morstein weren’t able to review the play.
The ensuing argument forced all three officials to run off the floor at the conclusion of the game.
"The Big Sky Code includes a zero tolerance policy for public comments critical of officials," Big Sky Conference commissioner Doug Fullerton said in a statement released Friday.
"As importantly, the behavior of his players and some of his staff following the game was completely unacceptable. The behavior created an explosive environment. We were fortunate that this incident did not escalate. In this type of situation, I hold the head coach responsible for the actions of his players and staff."
