Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Desmond Mason scored 22 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 113-103 victory over the Orlando Magic at the Bradley Center.
Erick Strickland and Joe Smith had 15 points apiece for the Bucks, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Dwight Howard finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Magic, who have dropped seven straight.
Orlando was without Steve Francis (back) and Pat Garrity (right knee).
The game was not really as close as the final score indicated, as Milwaukee held a double-digit advantage from the late second quarter on. The Bucks led 55-43 at halftime and went up by as many as 24 in the third when a basket by Mason made it 76-52 with 4:45 left in the quarter.
Milwaukee took an 88-69 lead into the fourth and again went up by 24 at 102-78 on a hook shot by Calvin Booth with 5:23 remaining.
Orlando closed out the game with a 25-11 run to make the final score a little more respectable.
"Maybe we’re not going to the playoffs, but I see each game as a chance to do something positive," said Orlando coach Chris Gent. "I thought we played with a lot of spirit and effort."
Maurice Williams scored 13 points, Marcus Fizer 12 and Anthony Goldwire 11 in the victory.
Milwaukee, which was without Michael Redd (left Achilles tendinitis), shot 49 percent (42-of-85) from the floor, including 6-of-13 from three-point range.
DeShawn Stevenson poured in 17 points and Jameer Nelson collected 16 points, six assists and six rebounds in the loss.
Brandon Hunter added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic, who shot 47 percent (43-of-91) from the field. Orlando was just 3-of-13 from beyond the arc.
