Chicago is 1 1/2 games behind the Philadelphia 76ers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls enter tonight’s contest on a two-game winning streak. On Sunday, Luol Deng scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Chicago came back in the fourth quarter to beat the Boston Celtics, 101-97, at the TD Banknorth Garden.
Chris Duhon and Ben Gordon scored 17 points apiece in the win over Boston for the Bulls, who have won two straight after losing four in a row. Kirk Hinrich scored 16 points, while Andres Nocioni netted 12 and Tyson Chandler collected 10 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.
Chicago is just 16-18 at the United Center this season.
The Magic have won three straight games and play the first of a brief two-game road trip. Hedo Turkoglu scored 23 points and Dwight Howard finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds, as the Magic continued their home domination with a 108-101 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday at the TD Waterhouse Centre.
Jameer Nelson also had 15 points in the win over the Hawks for Orlando, which won its sixth in a row at home. Darko Milicic and Keyon Dooling ended with 13 points apiece for the Magic.
Orlando is 7-29 as the visitor this season. The Magic are scheduled to visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday at the Target Center.
This is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. Chicago won the two previous contests.
The Bulls have won five in a row in this series, while Orlando has lost three straight at Chicago.
The Magic are scheduled to host the Bulls on April 17th in the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the squads.
