Sting add GM title to Lacey

Lacey, who will now be in charge of all basketball operations for the WNBA squad, takes over for Bernie Bickerstaff, who is currently the GM/head coach for the NBA’s expansion team in Charlotte.

Lacey led the Sting to an 18-14 mark last year in her head coaching debut.

She replaced Anne Donovan as the head coach after joining the Sting as the team’s lead assistant on April 5, 2001. She also spent four years with USA Basketball as the assistant director for women’s programs, and 10 years as a collegiate head coach at the University of South Florida (1988-96) and Francis Marion College (1986-88).
