=== McConnell-Miller steps down at Tulsa ===

Tulsa, OK (Basketball News) - Kathy McConnell-Miller has resigned as the head women’s basketball coach at the University of Tulsa and is expected to be named the head coach at the University of Colorado.

"Kathy McConnell-Miller has done a tremendous job of both building and elevating the Tulsa women’s basketball program during her tenure, and we wish her the best at Colorado," TU athletic director Judy MacLeod said. "With the type of student-athletes we have in our basketball program, I expect that they will rally around this and work even harder to further the success that the Tulsa women’s basketball program has enjoyed the past two years."

McConnell-Miller, who was the longest tenured coach in TU women’s basketball history, spent six seasons at the helm in Tulsa and amassed a 91-88 overall record. She is the school’s all-time leader for coaching victories, and led the Golden Hurricane to 14 or more wins in five of her six seasons.

This past season, Tulsa finished 19-11 - good enough for a third-place finish in Western Athletic Conference play. The Golden Hurricane also posted their second straight postseason appearance in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

McConnell-Miller was named the eighth head coach in the history of the Tulsa women’s basketball program on April 12, 1999, but was just the second since the women’s program was reinstated in 1996-97.
