The Suns conclude a brief two-game road trip against Utah. On Friday, Nazr Mohammed tied a career-high with 30 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs knocked off the Suns, 108-102, in a battle of two of the Western Conference’s best teams at the AT&T Center.
Reigning MVP Steve Nash poured in 30 points and also dished out six assists in the loss to the Spurs for Phoenix, while All-Star forward Shawn Marion finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds and Boris Diaw netted 15 in defeat.
The Suns are a solid 19-11 as the visitor this season. They have lost two of their last three on the road. After Tuesday’s game, Phoenix returns home to host Portland on Thursday and Denver on Saturday.
Nash, who is second on the club in scoring (19.8 ppg) and leads the NBA in assists (10.8 apg), has scored over 20 points in three straight games. He is averaging 22.3 points and 10.7 assists in his last 10 outings.
