Jonesboro, AR (Basketball News) - J.J. Montgomery poured in a game-high 28 points and collected eight rebounds while leading the Arkansas State Indians to a slim 57-56 victory over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference tilt.
Kim Adams tallied nine points and grabbed nine boards for Arkansas State (12-7, 3-5 SBC), which snapped a five-game losing streak.
Darius Eason scored 18 points for Arkansas-Little Rock (11-9, 4-3), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Brandon Freeman chipped in nine points in the losing effort.
The Indians shot 38.5 percent from the floor in the opening half and held Arkansas-Little Rock to a meager 22.2 shooting en route to a 27-20 lead at intermission.
