NCAA Game Summary - Ohio University at Bowling Green

 

Bowling Green, OH (Basketball News) - Antonio Chatman tallied 19 points to lead the Ohio University Bobcats to a thrilling 93-90 double-overtime win over the Bowling Green Falcons in Mid-American Conference play from Anderson Arena.

Sonny Troutman registered 17 points for Ohio (13-6, 7-4 MAC), followed by Jerome Tillman with 16 points, Jeremy Fears with 11, and Leon Williams with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

For Bowling Green (8-13, 4-7), Martin Samarco recorded a game-high 28 points, while Steven Wright hit for 23 points, and John Floyd notched 22 and seven assists. Patrick Phillips rounded out the Falcons in double figures with 10 points off the bench before fouling out.

Ohio shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half, taking a 32-26 halftime lead.

Bowling Green rallied in the second half, connecting on 51.7 percent of its shots, including six of 11 from beyond the arc, to force overtime.

Troutman hit a tip-in with three seconds remaining in the extra session, forcing another overtime period.

With the score tied at 90, Ohio put the game away by nailing three big free throws in the final seconds.

It wasn’t until 1:53 remaining in the first overtime that Bowling Green took its first lead, but the Bobcats quickly recovered to pull out their first win in Bowling Green in more than seven years.
