NCAA Game Summary - U-N-L-V at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - Vincent Grier scored 19 points to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers to a 72-67 victory over the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels in a non-conference battle.

Dan Coleman added 16 points and collected seven rebounds for Minnesota (5-2), while Adam Boone tallied 10 points to go along with six assists. Spencer Tollackson contributed nine points and nine rebounds in the victory.

Michael Umeh posted 19 points for UNLV (2-5), while Curtis Terry scored 12 and Louis Amundson contributed 11 along with five rebounds.

The Golden Gophers connected on 4-of-8 shots from behind the arc in the opening frame to take a slim 37-31 lead into the break.

In the second stanza, Minnesota shot 45.8 percent from the field en route to the five-point victory.

The Golden Gophers outscored UNLV at the foul line in the contest by a 17-3 margin.
