New Orleans, LA (Basketball News) - Baron Davis had 24 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists to lead New Orleans over Golden State, 102-84, at the New Orleans Arena.

Stacey Augmon netted a season-high 21 points and Jamaal Magloire posted 18 points and 10 boards for the Hornets, who bounced back from a loss in Houston on Thursday to improve to 22-12 at home this season.

New Orleans moved one-half game in front of idle Milwaukee for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Jason Richardson scored 18 points for the Warriors, who dropped their ninth in a row, a season-worst.

The Hornets have won nine of the last 10 contests with the Warriors, who have also lost seven straight and eight of their last nine at the Hornets.

New Orleans led 35-22 after the opening 12 minutes and they never looked back.

At the intermission New Orleans led 58-48 and it led by at least eight points throughout the second half. New Orleans shot 56 percent from the floor and forced 21 turnovers.

Earlier this season, New Orleans defeated the Warriors, 96-85, on December 12, 2003 at the Arena in Oakland. This was the final meeting of the season between the two clubs...Golden State is 6-3 in Saturday games this season...The Warriors are a brutal 7-27 on the road...Golden State played the final contest of a four-game road trip...Augmon made his 12th start of the season...Davis just missed his first triple-double of the season.
