Liberty down Monarchs

New York, NY (Basketball News) - Erin Thorn and Cathrine Kraayeveld scored 13 points each as the New York Liberty beat the Sacramento Monarchs, 71-61, at Madison Square Garden.

Loree Moore had 12 points and Shameka Christon added 10 for the Liberty, who have won three of four.

Rebekkah Brunson scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards and Nicole Powell donated 11 points for the Monarchs, who have dropped three of five.

Sacramento shot a season-low 32 percent.
