Monarchs top Comets; Houston remains winless

Yolanda Griffith netted 13 points, Rebekkah Brunson had 12 and Scholanda Robinson added 10 points off the bench for Sacramento, which has won five of its last six games.

Tina Thompson scored a game-high 24 points for the Comets, who fell to 0-10 on the season. Hamchetou Maiga chipped in with 12 points.

The Monarchs were 24-of-28 (86 percent) from the line, while the Comets were 10-of-18 (56 percent) in the contest.

It was the second time this week that Sacramento has beaten Houston. The Monarchs were also in total control of Monday’s 82-67 victory.
