Silver Stars’ Buescher sidelined for season

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Erin Buescher will be out the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee Wednesday.

Buescher suffered the injury in the first minute of the Silver Stars 87-77 victory at Phoenix. She’ll have surgery within the next two weeks.

Buescher, the current Western Conference Player of the Week, was averaging 11.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game this season.
