Bearcats upset Blue Deamons

Cincinnati, OH (Basketball News) - Michelle Jones scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Cincinnati routed the 24th-ranked DePaul Blue Deamons, 62-44, at Fifth Third Arena.

Treasure Humphries had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Bearcats (11-5, 2-3 Big East), who beat a Top 25 team for the first time since posting a 75-59 win over then-No. 19 Xavier on December 12, 2000. Carla Jacobs poured in 14 points, while Angel Morgan had a game-high 11 rebounds.

Allie Quigley led the Blue Deamons (11-6, 1-3) with 13 points, while China Threatt contributed 10. DePaul scored its fewest points in a game since January 23, 2000 when it lost at Alabama-Birmingham by a 44-39 margin.

The Blue Deamons made only 17-of-49 shots (35 percent) in the contest, but had just eight players available due to injuries.
