The Nike Jordan XVIII...
One of the latest revolutionary shoe by Nike.
Inspired by racing boots in F1, as per the "balance point" in the rear heel counter rubber extending midway up.
You get incredible grip from the super sticky soles. And they are damn comfortable especially with the Carbon Comfort Plate.
The shoes was design in Mid level ankle high and Low level , below ankle level...
For your information on the low Jordan XVIII, Jordan wore a limited edition model, i guess...
During the beginning of the 2003 NBA playoffs, Michael Jordan, was wearing his brand new Nike Jordan XVIII Low (Black / Silver and white / silver) "used for away games" and in the playoffs against Sacramento.
It features:
- Michael N°10 on the outside of the shoe
- A stitched "Team dime" on the outside of the ankle
- A "1Z" embroided on the inside ankle cursive level, in honor to Michael’s Jordan friend Anthony Thompson (i believe so...)
Thompson : the former Nuggets superstar who perfected skywalking above the rim long before Michael Jordan laced up his famous sneakers. Once upon a time, back in the day when the NBA allowed its stars to shine and a ticket was actually worth the price of admission, Thompson scored 73 points in a single game for Denver. All by himself. The date was April 9, 1978.
The original Nike Jordan VXIII shoe Box includes :
- " Jordan 18 Driver’s Manual ".
- A leather suede brush for cleaning.
- Small black towel
The shoe description:
- The uppers are one-piece leather suede. The ankle area had two triangular vents to allow the foot to "breath" better.
- No more metal case and instead a nice custom box that you slide in/out like a drawer. Easy storage of the shoes when you’re not wearing them.
- There is a metallic mesh material covering the vents and the lace area. The mesh acts as a heat conductor too to keep it cool.
- The soles are made from super sticky "crystal rubber". That rubber will attract dust like a magnet. But if used indoors, it’ll give maximum traction.
It’s probably the best gripping Nike and Michael Jordan ever made.
Don’t think it’ll be good to use outdoors on the blacktop (bitumen basketball court).
The rubber will wear down pretty quickly because it is quite soft.
Technical Specification for the Jordan XVIII:

- Carbon Comfort Plate
- Air Vents
