I bought the Nike Shox Supremacy several months ago. To tell the truth, I didn’t know too much about the shoe but bought it because so many people raved about it and also because so many NBA players wore the shoe. I think the best standard colors for the Supremacy is the white/blue or the white/black. I ended up buying the white/black. I find the black/red ones disgusting.
The first thing I noticed about this shoe, and I’m sure all the other fellas who bought this shoe, was how comfortable it is. The cushion system is incredible. The shoe fit perfectly. But it might have been because I have narrow feet, thus players with wide or big feet might not find the Supremacy to fit perfectly.
The next thing I noticed was how light it was. It was the lightest shoe that I have ever put my foot into. When I played in the Supremacy I felt like i was free to do whatever I wanted. None of my motions were ever restricted by the shoe. I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything.
People might complain that there is little protection for the ankle, but that is the beauty of the shoe. The laces don’t go all the way up, and the monkeypaw protection is gone, allowing you to do anything you want to on the court. It is almost like wearing a running shoe. The Supremacy lost all the unneccessary parts. The Shox are obviously still there and still absorbs much shock. A minor annoyance of the shoe is that it creases farely well and easily. But that is irrelevant if you are a serious player and looks means little to you and performance is everything.
I believe that the Supremacy is solely and indoor hoops shoe. I think that the possibility of hurting your ankles are greater on outside courts than inside a gym. I do not recommend the shoe for outside wear. However it is incredible inside.
With its reasonnable low price of $100, and in some stores even under $80 now, the Nike Shox Supremacy is the best Shox yet. I strongly recomment it if your game consists of constant movement and slashing. If aggressive defines your game, this shoe is definitely for you. Also, you should not be big, heavy, or clumsy. If you constantly hurt your ankles, think twice before purchasing. All in all, thisshoe is for you if your active, highly mobile, not big, and you seek the most performance for your money.
