Duke may win it all, but UConn deserves it

In the race for the No. 1 spot, I’m going to have to put my money on Duke. Though they pretty much a one-man team, that one man is unstoppable. Even in his “off days” J.J. Redick scores nearly 30 points.

Though I think Duke will win it all, I’d hate to see it happen. Like I’ve said over and over again, it’s hard to root for teams whose domination is caused by an individual, not a collective team effort. The depth of the Connecticut team is unbelievable. They’ve managed to take the No. 1 ranking in a conference that has proven to be much tougher than that of the ACC.

Rudy Gay has claimed his spot as arguably the most dominant forward in college basketball and he’s only a sophomore. Averaging nearly 16 points and six rebounds a game makes it hard to take his game lightly.

The greatest NCAA Championship match up would be between Duke and UConn, no doubt. Though I think Duke would win, it would definitely be nice to see a team win.
