Bruce, who participated in workouts with the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, averaged 11.3 points per game last season for the Bears.
"I’ve enjoyed these last few months because it’s given me a chance to understand the whole process better," Bruce said. "I’ve ventured through this process and now I have a chance to return to Baylor and turn things around and go to the NCAA tournament. That’s been my dream all along, we haven’t experienced that yet, but next year we have a chance to do that. I love these guys, and I enjoy the chance to play with them at Baylor."
The 6-3 Australian has averaged 14.3 points, 3.5 assists and hit on 40 percent of three-pointers in three seasons at Baylor.
"This was a great process for Aaron to go through," head coach Scott Drew said. "It will help him with what he’ll be doing next year. At the same time Baylor basketball is excited to have him back next year because he has meant so much to the rebuilding of our program."
