Oklahoma State’s Dove suspended

07.16.2007

Stillwater, OK (Basketball News) - Oklahoma State University suspended senior guard/forward Marcus Dove indefinitely for violation of team policy on Monday.

"I am suspending Marcus indefinitely," head coach Sean Sutton said. "We’ve made every attempt to handle certain situations internally, but obviously, the message is not getting through to some of our players. They need to understand and respect what it means to be a member of the Cowboy Basketball family. We hold our players to a high standard — a standard that has been set by the previous players that have given so much to this program."

Dove, who was named co-defensive player of the year in the Big 12, averaged 4.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season for the Cowboys.
