Michelle Obama Plays Dirty Politics To Guarantee Olympic Team Votes Obama

Michelle Obama plays dirty politics to make sure the U.S. Olympic team votes Obama

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Can we get in line too? We love hugs.

After the U.S. Basketball team defeated France 98-71, the team lined up for hugs in front of Michelle Obama. We don't know if there are any republicans in the bunch, but this group of ballers looked very excited to get a big old hug from the first lady. If they weren't voting Obama before the hug, they definitely are now.

President and first lady Obama are known to be huge basketball fans, so it came as no surprise that Michelle wanted to catch the U.S. vs. France basketball game. What no one expected was the love she showed after the game. In all honesty, it looked like it all happened innocently enough with LeBron James coming over to Michelle to say thank you for watching the game. Michelle gave him a hug and before you could say "Mitt Romney got no jumper" the entire U.S. team was lined up for their own Michelle Obama hug.

All the players were 100% composed and respectful of the first lady and some even seemed a bit overwhelmed. After the players got hugs, the coaches knew this was their best shot at a Obama hug too and jumped in line. With all the hugs doled out, the team went in the locker to analyze their destroying of the French team.

Sneak Peak At The Return of D Rose Documentary

HoopsVibe's got the sneak peak at the "Return of D Rose" Documentary.

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Derrick Rose will return better than ever.

April 28th, 2012 is a day Derrick Rose and Bulls fans will never forget. With only 1 minute left in Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs against the 76ers and the Bulls leading by 12 points, Rose tore his ACL on a insignificant jumpshot.

“I remember it. I remember everything,” said Rose. “I remember jumping in the air and coming back down and just that popping sound. I felt it tear when I laid all the way out and it just let go.”

The second his ACL tore, the entire NBA playoffs changed. The Bulls were essentially out of the hunt for a ring and Rose's season was over.

Now, adidas Basketball is tracking Derrick Rose's return to the NBA with a multi-episode documentary. The documentary will reportedly give fans a behind-the-scenes look at his recovery. Something like this has never been done before, so it will be interesting to see how much access the documentary shows. We've got the trailer below. It looks to be one party documentary, one party humility, and one party inspiration. Definitely keep your eye out for the full series of episodes.

Top 5 Ways Michael Jordan Still Make His Money?

Top 5 Ways Michael Jordan earns more today than when he played in the NBA.

HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: With ballers going broke left, right, and center, MJ shows us all how branding is king for long term success.

Some ballers go broke soon after retirement, but Michael Jordan actually earns more today than while he was in the NBA. Jordan brought in an estimated $80 million last year and has a net worth close to $650 million. Some are already speculating that he could be the first former NBA player to become a billionare. Here's the breakdown of the Top 5 revenue channels for MJ.

1. The Jordan Brand. This is the golden egg. It is a division of Nike that remains hugely profitable and massively influential. In 1984 MJ originally signed a 5-year $500,000 contract with Nike, plus royalties. Last year this was worth an estimated $60 million. Yikes, that's some serious return. The Jordan brand deserves it though dominating 71 percent of the basketball shoe market in 2012.

2. Earnings from play for Bulls: This is a relatively small part of the MJ empire. If you total up all the money Jordan made for actually playing basketball it totals $93.7 million of his roughly $650 million in net worth.

3. Charlotte Bobcats: This investment has actually lost MJ money, but he double downed on it last year and upped his ownership to 80 percent of the Bobcats. Now that he is the majority owner, if MJ can turn this team around this could be a hugely profitable portion of his portfolio. It Charlotte do become a relatively successful team it would likely make Jordan a billionaire.

4. Hanes, Gatorade, Upper Deck Endorsements: These round up to just under $20 million. MJ remains the most identifiable athlete in the world and uses that status to his advantage as Mr. Endorsement. His long-standing relationships with these companies continue to garner top dollar in the market.

5. Restaurants: You're hardly a celebrity unless you own at least a couple restaurants. Michael Jordan Steakhouses are in New York, Connecticut, and Chicago. These are a relatively small drop in the MJ portfolio, but just go to show the diversification in the many channels of his income.
