Crazy Light 2 Showdown: CraveOnline vs. HoopsVibe

First Annual adizero Crazy Light 2 Showdown: CraveOnline Vs. HoopsVibe.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: CraveOnline gets smacked down by HoopsVibe on the court.

The trash talking between CraveOnline sports and HoopsVibe has been building up to this day for months. CraveOnline represented by Nash Herrington and HoopsVibe represented by myself, Michael Brouillet, finally collided in the first ever showdown of these sports departments.

The matchup came courtesy of adizero and their unveiling of the Crazy Light 2 earlier this week at the Clippers training facility in Los Angeles. Both Nash and I were suited up with the best gear adidas could provide. We were head to toe decked out in adizero swag that had us looking like some serious ballers. This included a pair of Crazy Light 2s for both of us. The Crazy Light 2 is the lightest basketball sneaker ever at only 9.5 ounces and hits shelves May 24th. No joke, I think Nash could even jump up and touch the rim wearing his Crazy Light 2s. Ok, maybe just the net, but he's only 5 ft 9, so that ain't bad.

We were so well outfitted one extremely cute Clipper girl even commented before the game that we must be serious ballers. Oh, how little she knew. Yes, we were wearing some badass kicks with the Crazy Light 2, but no that didn't make Nash's jumpshot any more accurate.

The game started out with high intensity, lots of trash talking, and a clear misunderstanding of what kind of shape our bodies were in. Nash was quicker than I had realized, but my size advantage and the fact that I had actually played basketball and not baseball like Nash was obvious. On his first possession Nash knocked down a 15-foot jumper and had me wondering if he was an undercover baller. In fact his team was actually up 4-1 before reality set in.

With egos on the line Nash sat back and watched jumper after jumper rain in over his head. When he tightened up the D he was exploited for drives to the hole. Nash adjusted his glasses as the CraveOnline folks watched in horror. CraveOnline simply couldn't stop the offensive onslaught brought by HoopsVibe.  The next thing anyone knew Hoopsibe was up 2 games to nill and everyone was becoming painfully aware how out of shape we were. As we staggered across the Clipper's training facility that same cute Clippers promotion girl didn't seem so impressed by our swagger. Our Crazy Light 2s were still looking pretty dope, but our exhaustion was undeniable. We decided to grab some lunch instead of risking inevitable catastrophic injury.

Final Outcome: HoopsVibe wins the adizero Crazy Light 2 First Annual Showdown. CraveOnline left to search their soul for answers.

No, he was not joking. We've got Nick Cannon explaining how he talks trash to his wife, Mariah Carey, when she beats him gaming. Yes, I can picture that.
