With just 41 seconds left in the 4th quarter the Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo lost his head and in the process will likely have to sit out at least one game for his actions. The play happened on a tough call on a loose ball foul that Rondo reacted to by screaming at the ref. This initial reaction received a technical foul. The incident got much more significant when Rondo then proceeded to chest bump the referee which is an automatic ejection and likely suspension.
After the game Rondo pleaded his case to the media claiming he tripped and that the chest bump was accidental, but the replay tells a different story. Rondo clearly chest bumped the ref out of frustration. The bump was absolutely deliberate. I for one would prefer players simply admit their action instead of pretending they didn't happen. We've all got acces to Youtube Rondo. We've all seen the SportsCenter slow motion replay. We know you did it and so do you.
The end result is that Rondo will liekly have to sit out at least one game against the Atlanta Hawks.
