Scottie Pippen gets in fight at Nobu

Scottie Pippen knocked out a guy in the parking lot of a famous Malibu restaurant Sunday night, although no arrests have been officially made.

Hoopsvibe's quick call:  Who knows what really happened – but it's never a good idea to mess with a guy who's 6'8" and 230 lbs.

Scottie Pippen gets in fight in Malibu

Pippen was dining at Nobu in Malibu Sunday night (one of the best sushi joints in the world, btw) and got into an altercation with a man who was seeking an autograph from the NBA champion.  The melee went down in the parking lot outside the restaurant while SP was waiting for his car in the valet.

TMZ was the first to report on the incident.

There have been no reports as to what caused the fight, but TMZ reported that the autograph seeker was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for broken teeth and a swollen mouth, in addition to suffering injuries to his head and back.  He must have really aggravated the former NBA star, who got so heated he punched the guy and stomped him out.  Pippen did turn himself in to Malibu police but was released without arrest after questioning.

Scottie Pippen averaged 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists over his NBA career and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.  He was a long time teammate of the greatest of all-time Michael Jordan, with whom he won 6 NBA Championships.
