New world record for longest bball shot set (VIDEO)

The record for the world's longest basketball shot has just been broken again.

Hoopsvibe's quick call:  At the end of the day, this record has much more to do with luck than skill.

Basketball Australia Brand Launch

It only took 62 tries to break the record, and it all went down in the Netherlands.

The shot was taken by a group that calls themselves How Ridiculous, a group of Australians who have made a name for themselves by posting videos of their trick shots on the internet.  According to the group, the teammate who took the shot, Kyle Nebel, nailed a 98m (321.5 foot) shot from the observation deck of the Euromast Tower in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

It took an hour and a half to make it; and now we have a new world record.  Check out the shot below.

But the shot, which is essentially a toss off a balcony that happens to land in a basket 320 feet below, seems much more like luck than skill.

What do you think, Hoopsvibers?  Luck or skill?  Leave your comments below!
