The tough guy of the NBA is accused of taking out his anger on a woman and her brother outside Nox nightclub.
HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: I certainly wouldn't want to pick a fight with this guy. Were they crazy?
Kendrick Perkins posted a $1,000 bond Thursday morning in Tomball Texas for a misdemeanor assault charge that took place in July. It was initially dismissed, but re-filed.
Perkins plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but lives in Tomball, Texas. According to KHOU.com.
Miketta Cotton told police she and her brother were leaving the club when their car and another vehicle "backed into each other."
Cotton said she got out to talk with the male driver. She said a female passenger suddenly jumped out of the car, pulled her hair back and began taking off her jewelry like she was ready to fight.
Cotton said she calmed the woman down, but then Alpough got out of the car and pushed her stating, "That’s my cousin!"
When Ja’Keenan Cotton saw his sister being pushed, he got out of the car to check on her. He told police Perkins, a passenger in the other car, punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
Cotton said Perkins then punched her in the face with a closed fist, causing her to fall down.
Catherine McGrue, who was in the car with the Cottons, said Alpough struck her in the throat with his elbow, knocking her unconscious.
All three victims say a group of people then kicked them repeatedly while they were lying on the ground.
Ja’Keenan Cotton recognized Perkins and Alpough, according to court documents.
