Indiana’s Leach out with knee injury
Bloomington, IN (Sports Network) – Indiana Hoosiers center George Leach will
be sidelined indefinitely with a knee injury after undergoing an MRI exam.
Leach, who led the Big Ten Conference in blocked shots last season, injured
his left knee during Saturday’s 80-77 overtime victory against Xavier. The
6-11 Leach landed awkwardly on the knee after he tried to block a shot midway
though the second half.
Last season Leach compiled 79 blocked shots and he recently moved into fifth
place on the school’s all-time list with 155. Leach is averaging 8.0 points
through the team’s first three games.
