UConn’s Gordon to play with broken nose
Storrs, CT (Sports Network) – University of Connecticut guard Ben Gordon
suffered a broken nose during Wednesday’s game against Georgetown, but is
expected to play Saturday when the top-ranked Huskies visit No. 9 North
Gordon was hurt in the first half when he took an elbow to the face from
Georgetown’s Gerald Riley. He left the floor briefly, but returned and
finished with 11 points in a 94-70 UConn victory.
The junior is Connecticut’s second-leading scorer this season, averaging 18.9
points in 15 games.
