Oklahoma’s Bookout to undergo surgery

Norman, OK (Sports Network) – Oklahoma starting forward Kevin Bookout will
undergo surgery on his right shoulder next week and is expected to be
sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Bookout severely sprained the shoulder during a practice in October and has
been bothered by the discomfort all season. In 13 games this season, he has
averaged 7.6 points and 5.5 assists per contest.

Oklahoma (11-4, 1-3 Big 12) snapped a four-game losing streak and recorded
its first conference victory of the season by defeating Kansas State, 61-49,
on Saturday at the Lloyd Noble Center.
