ND’s Francis could miss remainder of season
South Bend, IN (Sports Network) – Notre Dame center Torin Francis might miss
the rest of the season due to a lingering disc problem in his lower back.
Francis, who has posted double-doubles in seven games this season, is the
team’s leading rebounder and second-leading scorer.
The 6-foot-11, 252-pound sophomore has averaged 14.2 points and 8.8 rebounds
in 20 games this season, despite playing only portions of a couple games.
Also, his 35 blocked shots are second-most on the team.
Francis has missed Notre Dame’s last four contests and is scheduled for an MRI
exam next week.
The Irish (13-11) go on the road to play UCLA (11-13) on Saturday.
