Nevada and Trent Johnson agree to new deal

Reno, NV (Sports Network) – University of Nevada men’s basketball coach Trent
Johnson agreed to a new five-year contract worth $450,000 a season Tuesday.

Johnson recently led the Wolf Pack to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for
the first time in school history.

The team finished with the best record in school history (25-9). Nevada upset
Michigan State and Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament before losing to national
semifinalist Georgia Tech.

Johnson accepted the job at Nevada, his first head coaching position, on March
7, 1999.
