Hewitt reportedly gets new deal at Georgia Tech
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) – Georgia Tech men’s head basketball coach Paul
Hewitt has reportedly agreed to a new contract that will pay him nearly $1
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that school officials confirmed the
new deal on Thursday afternoon. The six-year rollover contract, which will
keep Hewitt at Georgia Tech through the 2010 campaign, still has to be
approved by school president Wayne Clough and the school’s athletic board.
Hewitt is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets and has compiled an
overall mark of 75-53. Georgia Tech is 27-9 this season and will battle
Oklahoma State in a Final Four contest on Saturday in San Antonio.
