Hunt walks away from Towson

Towson, MD (Sports Network) – Towson University men’s head basketball coach
Michael Hunt will leave the school after leading the program for the past
three years.

Hunt, who guided the Tigers to a 23-63 record during his tenure, intends to
seek other coaching opportunities.

Towson, the youngest team in the Colonial Athletic Association last season,
won its first ever CAA Tournament game when it beat William & Mary in March.
The team finished 8-21 overall and was 4-14 in CAA league play.

“I’m very proud of the progress we made during my time at Towson,” Hunt said.
“And I wish nothing but great success for the student-athletes in the
program.”

The university will immediately begin a search for Hunt’s replacement.
