Western Carolina’s Martin to remain in NBA draft

Cullowhee, NC (Sports Network) – Western Carolina guard Kevin Martin, who just
finished his junior season, announced Thursday that he will remain eligible
for the upcoming NBA draft.

“I had until 5:00 pm (et) to make this decision and I did not make my decision
to stay in the draft until 10 minutes till,” said Martin. “I would like to

Martin ranks fourth on Western Carolina’s all-time scoring list with 1,838
career points. He ranked second in the nation in scoring with an average
of 24.9 points per game and ended the 2003-04 campaign as the Southern
Conference scoring champion for the second straight season.
