AND 1 MIX TAPE TOUR PLAYERS COME ON STRONG IN SECOND HALF IN SAN DIEGO
San Diego, CA – Monday, June 14, 2004 —
The 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape Tour continued tonight in San Diego with an entertaining win for AND 1, 86-71. San Diego got one heck of a show highlighted by ankle-breaker after dunk after alley-oop and then some. Tonight was the first elimination game for the ESPN2 television show “”Street Ball: The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour presented by Mountain Dew Code Red” as players “757” (Sante Gale, picked up in Oakland), “J-Rock” (Justin Bellegarde, picked up in Sacramento) and “Exile- the Young One” (Roberto Yong, picked up in Sacramento) had to play with the San Diego squad and prove they deserved to be a part of the tour.
In the end, J-Rock was eliminated as both 757 and Young One had great games, with 28 and 10 points, respectively.
Main Event once again lead the AND 1 team with 24 points, five boards and four dunks. He also stopped the game with about five minutes left as A.O. set him up for one of the sickest dunks the tour has seen to date this summer. He drove the lane and hit a
one-armed jam off a bounce pass from A.O. over traffic to clear the entire AND 1 bench and stop the clock as the entire Sports Arena of more than 5600 fans went crazy.
Overall, AND 1 picked it up right at the end of the first half, after trailing the entire game they went up on a bucket from Escalade to go into halftime up 48-47.
In the second half, the AND 1 team put on an unbelievable show for the crowd- from 50’s series of dunks, to Sauce pulling his moves on the local team, the game was one show-stopper after another as the game ended in the crowd giving a standing ovation.

SPYDA RETURNS AS AND 1 MIX TAPE TOUR ROLLS THROUGH LAS VEGAS
– Wednesday, June 16, 2004 — Las Vegas
AND 1 Mix Tape Tour rolled its way through the Orleans Arena with an AND 1 win over the local squad, 97-87. The local crowd saw the return of Spyda (Dennis Chism) from last year’s ESPN2 season of “Street Ball: The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour presented by Mountain Dew Code Red” as he came out to Open Run to once again try his shot at becoming the next AND 1 Mix Tape player.
Spyda put on an impressive show as second-leading scorer for the Vegas team with 24 points, seven boards, five assists and four serious dunks. He was matched in scoring only by 757 (Sante Gale, picked up in Oakland) who had another great game with 27 points
and 12 rebounds. Other players competing for the television show and endorsement contract, “Exile- the Young One” (Roberto Yong, picked up in Sacramento) and “Father Time” (Deshun Jackson, picked up in Los Angeles), both stepped up and showed their game as well.
Competition was so strong that Spyda got picked up but no one player was sent home, which means that the next game will eliminate two players.
As for the show that the AND 1 Mix Tape team put on, that was just as intense.
Helicopter never ceased to amaze the crowd with show-stopping dunk after dunk- 12 of his 14 points were from monster jams, including two back-to-back dunks in the second half. Main and Go Get It both had strong performances as well, each with some serious dunks of their own, contributing 22 points and 21 points, respectively.
