Eastern Kentucky coach signs extension

Richmond, KY (Sports Network) – Eastern Kentucky signed head men’s basketball
coach Travis Ford to a multiyear contract extension, the school announced
Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ford has posted a 39-71 mark in four seasons at Eastern Kentucky and has led
the team to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament the past two years. Last
season the Colonels finished 14-15, their highest win total since posting 15
victories during the 1992-93 season.

“Coach Travis Ford has brought to EKU an aggressive, exciting style of
basketball,” university president Joanne Glasser said. “We all look forward to
his continued success with our student athletes, both on and off the court.”

Ford played collegiately at Kentucky and coached for three seasons at
Campbellsville University before joining EKU. He owns a career coaching record
of 106-102.
