No Love for Duke

Durham, NC (Sports Network) – Duke senior forward Reggie Love is expected to
miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a fractured toe in his right foot.

Love made his first career start in Sunday’s conference win over Clemson, but
sustained a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot during the first half.
Love is slated to undergo surgery on Tuesday at the Duke University Medical
Center.

“I feel badly for Reggie,” Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “He prepared
himself well every practice this year and was ready for his opportunity when
it presented itself. He is a major part of our team and he will be missed
during the time he is out. He has the best available medical treatment and we
look forward to him returning to contribute to our team this year.”

The Charlotte, NC native is averaging just 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per
contest this season for the 9-0 Blue Devils. Love also was a four-year letter
winner for the Duke football team from 2000-2003.

Duke is back in action on January 5 when it faces Princeton at Cameron Indoor
Stadium.
