Austin, TX (Sports Network) – Freshman Daniel Gibson posted a career-high 27
points and 10 rebounds to help No. 15 Texas pull off a 75-61 upset of fifth-
ranked Oklahoma State at the Erwin Center. P.J. Tucker added 15 points for the
Longhorns (14-3, 3-1 Big 12), who kept their home winning streak alive. Texas
has won 15 straight and 40 of its last 41 home games and hasn’t lost on its
court since Oklahoma State posted a victory in Austin on January 24 of last
season. Kenton Paulino added 10 points off the bench to help Texas post its
seventh win in eight games overall. Ivan McFarlin had 19 points and nine
rebounds to lead the Cowboys (13-2, 3-1). Oklahoma State lost for the first
time in five contests against the Longhorns and had an overall winning streak
of four games halted.

eight rebounds and blocked three shots to lead 16th-ranked Connecticut to a
77-68 win over Seton Hall at Continental Airlines Arena. Freshman Rudy Gay had
18 points and Charlie Villanueva contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds for the
Huskies (11-3, 3-1 Big East), who have won two straight games. Andre Sweet
scored a game-high 22 points and ripped down eight boards for the Pirates
(8-7, 0-4), who have dropped four consecutive contests and are still looking
for their first conference win of the season. J.R. Morris and Kelly Whitney
both added 13 in the setback.
