Tucker ruled ineligible for Longhorns
Austin, TX (Sports Network) – Texas’ basketball team sustained a major loss
on Thursday when sophomore forward P.J. Tucker, the leading scorer and
rebounder for the 15th-ranked Longhorns, was declared academically ineligible.
He will miss the remainder of the season, but will stay in school and be
allowed to practice, school officials said.
Tucker averaged 13.7 points and 8.0 rebounds a game this season for the
Longhorns (14-3) who will visit No. 18 Oklahoma (14-2) on Saturday.
