basket with 7.2 seconds remaining as fourth-ranked Syracuse rallied from an
18-point halftime deficit to earn an 86-84 victory over Rutgers in Big East
action at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. Hakim Warrick and Gerry McNamara
each had 21 points for the Orange (20-1, 7-0 Big East), who trailed 52-34 at
intermission to extend their winning streak to 13 games. Josh Pace netted 11
of his 14 points in the second half and dished out seven assists to help fuel
the comeback. Ricky Shields led the Scarlet Knights with 20 points, 15 of
which came prior to the break, and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Ollie
Bailey finished with 18 points on 5-of-7 shooting for Rutgers (7-9, 1-5),
which suffered its sixth loss in seven games despite giving the powerhouse
Orange all it could handle.

points to lead 13th-ranked Oklahoma to a 67-57 win over ninth-ranked Oklahoma
State at Lloyd Noble Center. Bookout ended with 23 points on 11-of-15
shooting and Gray had 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting for the Sooners (16-2,
5-0 Big 12), who never trailed and have won 10 in a row. Ivan McFarlin had
16 points and seven rebounds for the Cowboys (14-3, 4-2), who have lost two
of three. John Lucas was held to 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting, as OSU
has dropped two straight on the road.

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – Andrew Bogut scored a game-high 25
points as the 25th-ranked Utah Runnin’ Utes remained perfect in the Mountain
West Conference with a 63-51 victory over Air Force at the Huntsman Center.
Marc Jackson and Bryant Markson each had 11 for Utah (17-3, 5-0 MWC), which
has won 12 straight games. Bogut finished 11-of-12 from the field and had nine
rebounds. Jackson tied his career-high with 10 assists. The Utes, who shot
a school-record 80 percent from the field (24-of-30) against the
nation’s No. 1 defense, led by two at halftime before pulling away for the
win. Nick Welch had 15 points to lead the Falcons (12-7, 3-1), who lost for
just the second time in eight games.
