Pepperdine’s Hicks to miss game against Gonzaga
Malibu, CA (Sports Network) – The Pepperdine Waves will be without starting
center Russell Hicks on Thursday when they host No. 14 Gonzaga . The team
announced on Wednesday that Hicks has returned to his hometown of Ontario,
Canada, due to a death in the family.
Hicks, a freshman, has started the last four games for the Waves and is
currently averaging 3.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and a team-leading 1.3 blocks a
contest.
In other Pepperdine news, sophomore forward Cody Horning, who has missed the
last 19 games with a knee injury, has been cleared to play.
The Waves are 13-11 on the season, but just 3-6 in the West Coast COnference.
