Perry leaves Indiana
Bloomington, IN (Sports Network) – Indiana head coach Mike Davis announced
Wednesday that senior guard Donald Perry has left the team.
“Donald decided after the Minnesota game (on February 12) that he no longer
wanted to be a part of the team, and he notified the coaching staff late
Monday night of his decision,” Davis said. “We’re disappointed that Donald is
leaving, but we wish him the best. ”
Perry was suspended from the squad for violation of team rules in October. He
was reinstated in December and he saw action in three games this season.
Last season, the 6’2″, 185-pound Perry started 13 of the 28 games in which he
played. In 2002, Perry scored 10 points, including five of six free throws in
the national semifinal victory over Oklahoma.
