GW loses two to NBA Draft
Washington, DC (Sports Network) – George Washington University juniors Pops
Mensah-Bonsu and Mike Hall have entered their names in the 2005 NBA Draft.
However, neither has retained an agent, thus keeping their NCAA eligibility
Underclassmen have until May 14 to declare for the June 28 draft, but can
withdraw their names up until June 21.
Pops started 22 of 30 games this season for George Washington and averaged
12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds. Hall, meanwhile, scored 10.6 points and a team-
high eight rebounds in 28 games, 21 of which were starts.
The Colonials (22-8, 11-5 Atlantic 10) claimed the Atlantic 10 Conference
regular season West Division title and the conference tournament to secure a
berth in the NCAA Tournament. GW, though, was bounced in the first round of
the Albuquerque Regional by Georgia Tech.
