Wyoming to host 2005 BCA Invitational

Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) – The University of Wyoming’s Arena-Auditorium
will be the site of the 2005 Black Coaches Invitational men’s basketball
tournament, which will take place from November 13-15.

The eight-team field features the Cowboys and 2005 NCAA participant Charlotte.
Alabama State, Butler, Coppin State, Lehigh, Northwestern and UNC Wilmington
will be the other entrants. Each team will play three games during the
three-day event.

“We are very excited that the University of Wyoming will host the 2005 BCA
Invitational,” said BCA executive director Floyd Keith. “Wyoming is an
excellent partner in strengthening and enhancing the mission of the Black
Coaches Association.”

Charlotte finished 21-8 last season and tied for second in the Conference USA
standings with a 12-4 league record. The 49ers earned a seventh seed in the
NCAA Syracuse Regional and lost to North Carolina State in the first round.

Wyoming went 15-13 in 2004-05 and is expected to be one of the top teams in
the Mountain West Conference this coming season.
