Adrian Walton AKA A-Butta
Adrian Walton’s name is indelibly linked to a dunk that wasn’t his. Facing up to Vince Carter in the famed Gaucho’s Gym, the then-eighteen Walton went bucket-for-bucket with the newly-crowned rookie of the year, hitting an array of long-range shots despite Carter’s best efforts. However, it was Vince who had the last laugh, catching a lob at rim-height and putting down a straight-armed windmill dunk that caused the crowd to flood the court in celebration.
Walton declared for the NBA draft but was not selected, thereafter finding himself briefly on teams in the USBL and ABA. He now spends his summers competing in the EBC, where he goes by the nicknames “Wholelottagame”, “A-Butta” and “Hollywood A”.
