Tulane basketball returning for home games in New Orleans

Ruston, LA (Sports Network) – Tulane University announced it will play 10
games at its campus home, Fogelman Arena, located in New Orleans.

The school waited until Wednesday to announced the revised schedule after
Hurricane Katrina forced a relocation of some of the team’s home games.

Out of the 14 home games for the Green Wave men’s team, 10 games, including
the entire Conference USA home ticket, will be at the Fogelman Arena. The
other four games will be played in College Station, Texas, at the Reed Arena
located on the campus of Texas A&M, where the team has been since early
September because of the devastation wrought by Katrina.

“It’s important for our team to be back in New Orleans and it is equally
important for us to get the support we need to be successful,” Tulane first-
year head coach Dave Dickerson said. “With the Saints and the Hornets gone for
the season, and us being one of the first teams back playing in the city is
exciting for the team and myself. We hope to fill that void for sports fans in
the city.”

Tulane will open up its season in a matchup against the University of New
Orleans on November 22nd. An ironic twist has the Green Wave listed as the
home team on November 26th against Texas A&M which will be played at Reed
Arena. They will play the first game in New Orleans on December 27th against
