No. 15 Kentucky routs Georgia State

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) – Shagari Alleyne netted 16 points and added six
rebounds, as the 15th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Georgia State
Panthers, 73-46, at Philips Arena.

Joe Crawford had 14 points and seven boards and Ramel Bradley added 12 points,
seven rebounds and five assists for the Wildcats (6-2), who bounced back from
Saturday’s 83-79 loss to North Carolina..

Kentucky played without offensive leader Rajon Rondo, who has strep throat.

Rashad Chase had 19 points and five rebounds to lead the Panthers (2-3), who
have dropped their last two games.

The Panthers jumped out to an early 11-0 lead, but the Wildcats would answer
with a 22-3 run and closed out the first half with a 30-24 lead.

A 22-6 run to start the second half pushed the Kentucky advantage to 52-30
less than halfway through and Georgia State never threatened for the rest of
the contest.

Game Notes

Kentucky will travel to the RCA Dome to face 18th-ranked Indiana on
Saturday…Georgia State plays state rival Georgia on Saturday…Kentucky
shot 52 percent from the floor…The Panthers only managed to shoot 36 percent
in the game…Kentucky outrebounded Georgia State, 45-23.
