Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) – Ilian Evtimov poured in 19 points, as 21st-
ranked North Carolina State rolled past North Carolina-Asheville, 86-56, at
the RBC Center.

Cameron Bennerman and Gavin Grant each chipped in 14 points for the Wolfpack
(7-1), who have won two games in a row following their 45-42 loss to Iowa on
November 30. Grant also grabbed seven rebounds for the Wolfpack, who shot 56.1
percent from the field, and hit 13-of-30 three-pointers.

Joe Barber led the Bulldogs (1-5) with 15 points. Chad Mohn added 14 points in

North Carolina State moved to 16-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.

The Wolfpack stormed out of the gate, opening the game with a 10-2 spurt.
During the stretch, Tony Bethel drained two three-pointers. He ended the game
with 11 points.

North Carolina State continued to run in front in the first half and went on
an 11-2 dash that put the Wolfpack up 30-16 with 8:05 to play until halftime.
Engin Atsur netted six points on two shots from beyond the arc during the run.

The Wolfpack took a 41-26 lead into the break with Evtimov leading the way
with 11 points. As a team, North Carolina State drilled eight three-pointers
on 18 attempts.

North Carolina State opened the second half with a 17-6 run that was capped
off with Evitmov converting a layup and the foul shot to give the Wolfpack a
58-32 lead with 14:44 to play.

Evitmov sunk a trey with around eight minutes left in the second half, giving
the Wolfpack a 30-point lead at 72-42.

North Carolina State outscored the Bulldogs 45-30 in the final 20 minutes.
